WHO WE ARE

G-Force is a registered UK charity and voluntary community group based in Broomwood which works with disadvantaged children, young adults and adults. Working throughout the Altrincham area, our main aim is to provide support, services and developmental opportunities to all the members of the local community. Our mission is to do with helping improve the quality of life for all residents living in our target communities.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

We believe that 'We all Matter'. It's people who are the main focus of our efforts.
Our aims for all individuals are aligned with the New Economics Foundation 'Five Ways to Well Being'. These are:

CONNECT

Being valued by others and making connections with those around you, it is thought this is a necessity for everyday healthy functioning. Whether it’s work colleagues, neighbours or friends, creating close social relationships helps contribute to feeling happy and deflects from mental ill health for people of all ages. By bringing the community together, we aim to help others make those connections and enrich those around us every day.

KEEP LEARNING

Learning new things engages social interaction and increases confidence.  Setting new challenges for something you enjoy has been known to increase wellbeing. This can be from taking on different responsibility or researching something that’s made you curious.

BE ACTIVE

Exercise is known to ease symptoms of depression and is essential for improving cognitive behaviour. Discovering an activity that makes you feel good can be an enjoyable experience. As well as self-confidence it’s great for encouraging social interaction, whether it’s going for a light stroll in the park or getting into weekly sporting activities.

TAKE NOTICE

Taking notice of surroundings and being aware of the things around you helps you to appreciate the things that matter most to you. Capturing moments that are found enjoyable provides a self-understanding to make choices based on your own ideals that you’ve learnt.

GIVE

We love to spread happiness to others, and contributing to the community does exactly that. It also encourages interaction with one another and is incredibly rewarding.          Charity No: 1110767
